Major(s)/Minor(s):  English & Psychology
Campus Involvement:  Culinary Arts Society, After School Art, CS40

Hello future members of our residential family and inevitable friends! My name is Alexandra West, and I’m a junior majoring in English and Psychology and contemplating a minor in French. I’m the RA for Dardick 1 from Decatur, Illinois (famous only to soybean fanatics and Sufjan Stevens fans). At Wash U, I’ve been involved in student government for the South 40, the Culinary Arts Society, crew (the rowing team), and After School Art, a volunteer program doing crafts with middle school kids. I love books, television (expect Office and Arrested Development nights!), movies, music, games of all varieties, and baking.  My random fact: up to age 14, I would sleepwalk downstairs to sleep near my dog, bedding and all.

Name:  Zeynep Esin
Hometown:  Istanbul, Turkey
Year: Junior
Major(s)/Minor(s):  Systems Science & Engineering
Campus Involvement:  Dance Marathon Executive Board, WUSauce

Hello lovely Wayman Crow residents!  I'm a junior from Istanbul, Turkey, majoring in Systems Engineering and minoring in Psychology. This is going to be my third year living in Wayman Crow and I'm super excited! I can’t wait to meet all of you! Get excited - Wayman Crow is by far the best residential college on campus! Dancing is my biggest thing - I've been a dancer pretty much all my life. I did eight years of ballet when I was younger and some jazz, modern and latin dances after that. I'm now a proud member of WUSauce, the WashU salsa team as well as the Event Coordinator. I'm also on the executive board for Dance Marathon '09 as the Events chair, so I'm very into planning events as well. I do Each One Teach One tutoring for elementary schools in St Louis and take part in cultural shows on campus (Diwali and Carnaval) whenever I can fit them in my schedule. For fun I like hanging out with friends, going to performances and concerts, reading and dancing! A random fact about me is that I’m crazy about cats and I owned two white ducks as pets when I was little. =)

This is my second year working with ResLife as an RA.  Besides being an RA, I'm also involved in a few other things on campus.  I am a member of Ashoka, WashU's South Asian Student Association, Each One Teach One, a tutoring program for inner city youth, and I am an active member of Greek Life (Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity) on campus.  There are a lot of things to do on campus, and I'm sure all of you will find something that fits your needs. My interests include sports, music, movies, and TV.  Basketball is probably my favorite pastime, I try to play a few times a week at the AC. Something random about me, is that I love peanut butter and chocolate together, and cheesecake is my favorite dessert. Hey, Wayman Crow Residents! I am so excited to be an RA in this wonderful ResCollege once again! I am from Tampa, Florida but have also called Wayman Crow my home for the past three years.  I am a Senior majoring in psychology and minoring in Spanish.  During the summer, I work for sports camps at my old high school.  While I am at WashU, I spend my free time in Student Union's Treasury; dancing in Carnaval; working in a psychology lab; winning the Residential College Olympics; and playing Super Smash Bros. on N64 or playing basketball outside on the Swamp with former (and hopefully current?) residents.  I also love musicals and often sing showtunes in the shower or outside on campus when no one is around.  Get ready to have the time of your life on Dardick 3 with Daniel Sun and me!

Campus Involvement:  Concert Choir, WU Opera, Campus Y, All-Student Theatre

Hello future residents of Dardick 4! First of all, let me just express how excited I am to be your RA this year. I have had an incredible experience at WashU over the last few years, and I am confident that our floor will add another bullet point to my list of awesome things in college!  I am a junior from Nixa, Missouri studying Psychology and Music. Since coming to WashU, I have been active in several performing arts student groups on campus--both for theatre and music. I also volunteer with the Campus Y service organization. For fun, I enjoy all the basics of college life... movies, reading, dancing, eating everything I can, and taking walks through Forest Park. And just a warning: you will probably catch me singing at any given time and place (especially in the Dardick elevator)... I apologize in advance for any awkward moments this may create.  I am anxious to meet all of you soon, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer! Get ready for an amazing year!

Major(s)/Minor(s):  Anthropology
Campus Involvement:  Varsity Softball, Wash U Swing Society, Student Athletic Trainer,
Student Athletic Committee Representative

Hello poppets!  My name is Claire Voris, and I am a rising junior at Wash U pursuing a major in anthropology.  I hail from Barrington, Illinois, which means I am allowed to lie and say “I’m from Chicago” once in a while in order to make life easier.  I am a pitcher for the Wash U varsity softball team; a program you will become ever so fond of this fall when we have morning practices right outside your windows on the weekends.  I apologize in advance!  On the side, I am a member of SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), and WUSS (Wash U Swing Society).  For kicks and giggles I love playing pickup games (if there is a ball involved I am in), getting my groove going on the dance floor, and finding new and exciting ways to procrastinate.  A fun/random fact:  this blurb was sent with love from Quito, Ecuador where I’ve been procuring some culture for myself 9,350 feet above sea level.  Anywho, I’m super excited to meet you all this fall, but until then espero que todo te vaya bien!

In my free time, I love traveling, reading newspapers, exploring new cities and watching old episodes of The West Wing. One random fact about me: I really don’t like dogs. I’m looking forward to meeting each of you and hope you’re excited for an amazing year spent on the best floor on the 40!

Name:  Tiffany Ogawa
Hometown:  Dallas, Texas
Year:  Junior
Major(s)/Minor(s):  Biomedical Engineering
Campus Involvement:  CS40, Works at the Edison Theatre Box Office

My name is Tiffany Ogawa, and I am a junior in biomedical engineering from Dallas, Tx. Being from Texas, I'm really into football (Tony Romo will pull it together this season) and pretty much find anything under 70 degrees cold. My favorite thing to do is watch tv [like seriously]. I probably watch 4+ hrs of tv a day, anytime I'm in my room it's on, and the only channel banned from my tv is bravo. When I'm not watching tv, I'm involved with EnCouncil, ACF and CS40. Outside of WashU, I walk dogs for the Stray Rescue of St. Louis; they have 2 really cute wolf dogs {like wolf dad, dog mom!} In high school, I was voted most likely to steal a penguin from the dallas world aquarium, and lastly, I am currently the Umrath 1 water chugging champ: I drank 6 glasses of water in less than 4 minutes, no one else got past 3.
